Code of Conduct(Required) I Agree
CODE OF CONDUCT
The staff of Game Worlds camp is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for your child; however, students are also responsible for their behavior in these areas, and parents are responsible for making sure their child understands the camp’s conduct guidelines before coming to camp so they know what is expected of them.
1.) Students or parents should inform staff if they are experiencing a problem with another camper or having other issues. If staff are not informed about a problem, we cannot assist in solving it.
2.) Students are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Game Worlds personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen items; all necessary tools are provided by the camp, and bringing anything additional is at the sole risk of the camper. This includes money and technology items such as smartphones and gaming equipment.
3.) Students are expected to follow all rules and directions given by staff at all times. Any inappropriate behavior will be handled at the discretion of staff based on severity and established camp rules.
4.) Students will actively participate in all aspects of the camp program, and follow the daily camp schedule.
5.) Students will show respect toward other campers, staff, and guest presenters. This includes, but is not limited to, respecting the personal space and property of others.
6.) Students will assume personal responsibility for any camp equipment they use, and will reimburse the camp for any loss or breakage. Students will never mark, deface, or destroy camp or personal property.
7.) Students will not bring or use any form of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or fireworks while at camp.
8.) Acts of violence will not be tolerated, and students will never cause bodily harm to any other campers or staff. Pushing, kicking, hitting, or fighting are not acceptable behavior and will be grounds for suspension and/or dismissal from the camp program. Firearms and weapons, including knives, are prohibited at Game Worlds camps.
9.) Use of inappropriate language, conduct, or harassment is prohibited at camp. Students will be respectful, cooperative, and will contribute positively to the experience of fellow campers. Bullying is not tolerated at Game Worlds camps.
10.) There will be NO refunds for any verbal or physical behavior or misconduct that results in a suspension or dismissal from camp. Game Worlds retains the right to deny enrollment of a previously disciplined, suspended, or dismissed camper based on a history of camp violations, including students who were repeatedly disciplined but never formally suspended in the past.
By checking ‘I Agree’ at the top of this statement, I understand that if my child (or myself, if the student is 18 or older) disregards the camp Code of Conduct, or behaves in a way deemed by camp staff to be unsafe or inappropriate a productive camp environment, this may result in either a temporary suspension or a full dismissal from the camp program. I understand that refunds are NOT GIVEN when a camper is dismissed from the program.
Medical/Liability Waiver(Required) I Agree
ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, and MEDICAL PERMISSION
I agree to release Game Worlds LLC (“the Camp”) and all of its affiliates, divisions, committees, and groups, and their respective governing boards, officers, directors, trustees, legal representatives, members, owners, employees, agents, administrators, assigns, and contractors (collectively “Releases”) from any and all claims, demands, suits, judgments, damages, actions, and liabilities of every name and nature whatsoever, whenever occurring, whether known or unknown, contingent or fixed, at law or in equity, that may arise in connection with the program; including any injury, death, or damage to personal property (collectively “Liabilities”). I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Releases harmless from and against any and all Liabilities.
If any illness, injury, or accident occurs which, in the sole judgment of the Camp and its staff, requires immediate medical attention, I give consent for any member of Camp staff to obtain such emergency treatment. I further consent to the signing of any releases by Camp staff which may be required by any medical care provider. I understand that in the event of an emergency medical situation I will be notified as soon as possible. I also agree to provide Game Worlds with emergency contact numbers. I further understand that the cost of any medical care deemed necessary for the treatment of any emergency illness, injury, or accident occurring while my child is attending the Camp is my responsibility, and that Game Worlds, its agents, and employees are not obligated to pay for such medical care.
As the undersigned parent/guardian, I fully recognize that there are inherent dangers and risks to any activity, and I assume all of the risks and responsibilities in any way arising from or associated with attendance at Game Worlds. I recognize that this means I am giving up, among other things, all rights to sue Releases for injuries, damages, or losses possibly incurred unless caused by the gross negligence of a Game Worlds employee or volunteer. I also understand that this Release binds my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, and assigns.
I hereby grant to Game Worlds and its Releases the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, and publish photographs and video footage of my child, including their image and likeness as depicted therein, for editorial, trade, advertising, or any other purpose or manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same. I hereby release Game Worlds and its Releases from any and all claims, actions, and liability relating to its use of said photographs and video footage.
I have read this entire release. By checking ‘I Agree’ above this statement, I fully understand that the terms herein are contractual and not a mere recital, and that I have signed this Waiver voluntarily and of my own free act.
I acknowledge that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted under the laws of the State of Texas from time to time in effect, and that if any portion of this Agreement is held to be void and unenforceable, the remainder shall, notwithstanding, continue in full force and legal effect. I agree to all of the above on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, our heirs, successors, and assigns.
